The following match was to follow suite and continue the up and down season City have become accustom to. They lost 2-0 to Middlesbrough midweek which would have been a game manager Mark Hughes would have expected to win. They are still unable to claim back to back victories which is crucial if the club is to achieve what is expected of them this season.
Bolton have only managed to secure a single home win in the 2008/2009 campaign which was all the way back in August on the opening day of the season. They currently sit second from bottom in the league and will need to find some kind of form in the run up to Christmas, especially at home.
An important factor in this game is that Bolton have a full strength side at their disposal and Manchester City are missing no less than 5 players. Vassell and Mwaruwari are expected to return this weekend.
Bolton will not win this fixture! Middlesbrough was a mere blip and expect Manchester City to display the flowing football they used to thrash Stoke at the weekend.
