Gabby Agbonlahor is fully fit and John Carew is likely to start this week if his strip club differences have been fully resolved wit his boss. This pair has played a major part in Villa’s success this season and expect them to test Newcastle’s defence on Monday night.
Newcastle expect to see the return of Michael Owen and Nicky Butt but this has not yet been confirmed. They will still be without Alan Smith and Mark Viduka. Newcastle’s form is the opposite of Aston Villa’s. They have claimed just 1 win in their last 8 matches and although their last match was a victory it was against significantly lesser opposition.
