A must win game for Manchester City?
At the start of this season Manchester City became the richest club in world football. Their new owners are said to posses ten times the wealth of Chelsea boss and billionaire Roman Abramovich. They then shocked the world with the purchase of Robinho from Real Madrid and the new owners announced their plans for world domination. Managers of the biggest clubs in the Premier League were being asked the question ‘Do you fear Manchester City?’
Realistically though what have they got to fear. Aside of all of the talk Manchester City have had a very up and down season. Against Chelsea and Liverpool, Manchester City went in-front and eventually ended up loosing. They have not had a win in their last 3 games which is not really the standard of a footballing giant.
On Saturday they face Stoke City a newly promoted side to the English Premiership. If Manchester City want to part of the Premier League elites then this is a game they really should win! Manager Mark Hughes will no this. Manchester City have had some of the best players of the season even though they have struggled to grind out the results. Young Brazilian Jo has had a massive impact on the team and midfielder Stephen Ireland has really come in to form. Stoke are currently third from bottom with just two wins to their name. Manchester City have not been shy in front of goal this season and with home advantage against third from bottom a win is on the cards. The price of the win is a little short at 1.6 but well worth a bet.
