Everton moved a goal in-front in under 10 minutes when a low crossed ball fell into the path of Leon Osman who had no trouble with the finish. Everton held onto their lead until the break.
Arsenal came out a different team for the second half. In the 48th minute Samir Nasri scored Arsenal the equaliser. Robin van Persie made it 2-1 heading in a rebounded ball and it was Theo Walcott that dealt the killer blow in the final minute of the game.
