Chelsea drop their first points at the London derby.Chelsea and Liverpool were the only two sides on 100% records today with Chelsea firmly at the top of the table on goal difference. Today Chelsea host Spurs and have up until now been playing some good football. Today they looked a little under-par.
They were gifted a goal in the 27th minute when the ball went in off Juliano Belletti’s knee from a Deco corner. The corner should not have been given as Joe Cole was previously offside. Chelsea nearly made it 2 when Michael Essien rattled the cross bar late on.
Although not at there best the game looked to be going Chelsea’s way but just before the break a mistake from Frank Lampard put Darren Bent through and slotted it beneath Petr Cech.
Now just Liverpool with a 100% record this season.
