City Move in Front in the Battle for Ronaldinho
Manchester City are now favourites to in the fight for Ronaldinho according to Barcelona club president. City have always sat in 2nd place as Ronaldinho has no desire for the club.It is apparent that the Barcelona star of 2 seasons ago has 2 clubs in mind for the remainder of his career in both AC Milan and Chelsea. 12 months ago Chelsea made a move for Ronaldinho but it was cut short by Barcelona. Due to a poor season plagued by the negative press brought on by his off the pitch antics Chelsea are no longer interested or at least not to the price Manchester City are prepared to pay.
AC Milan warm to the idea of the 28 yer old Brazilian playing at the San Siro this season but there failure to qualify for the Champions League has proved costly and they would not be able to support the £200,000 a week wages Ronaldinho is used to.
Despite the lack of interest from Ronaldinho himself FC Barcelona are now looking at the potential move to Manchester City. City are offering the price £25.5 million including £200,000 in wages per week and at present no other club have come close to this offer.
Manchester City have seen a lot of changes since the cash injection of Shinawatra. Some believe that Ronaldhino will bring world class status to Eastlands where as others believe that the money can be better spent elsewhere. Either way Manchester city are now favourites in the race and further meetings are to take place on Monday.
