The Germans out classed and beaten by Croatia.Germany expected to win this game and group with ease loose their 2nd match of the tournament to Croatia. From start to finish the underdogs were the better side and fully deserved the victory. Darijo Srna put them in front on 27 minutes and just after the break Croatia found themselves with daylight between the Germans. 2nd goal from Ivica Olic. With 10 minutes remaining Lukas Podolski got one back for Germany and equalled David Villa as top scorer. The desperation showed in the Germans and led to Bastian Schweinsteiger’s sending off.
