Liverpool take all 3 points to continue their chase for the number 3 spot.
With Liverpool chasing the 3rd place and Fulham fighting to avoid relegation this was all set to be a great match. With 1 eye on Tuesday’s Champions League tie against Chelsea Rapha Benitez made more rotations than normal with his squad resting key players.
The changes did not affect the Liverpool side and they looked as strong as ever going into the break with a 1-0 lead. Jermaine Pennant scoring the first goal on 17 minutes with a cross floating past Kasey Keller.
In the second half there was even more pressure from Liverpool and on 70 minutes Jermaine Pennant put Peter Crouch through who slotted the ball through the legs of the Fulham keeper.
The relegation battle continue for Roy Hodgson’s men.
