The Germans score late to see off Turkey.Uğur Boral scored the first goal on 22 minutes putting Turkey in front. The lead was short-lived however when Bastian Schweinsteiger  fired home the equaliser just 4 minutes later. The game remained tight for the next half hour but Miroslav Klose found the net on 79 minutes to score what was thought to be the match winner. With 4 minutes of normal time to go Semih Şentürk leveled the score again and extra time looked imminent. The Germans wanted the job done and in the final minute Philipp Lahm scored the final goal of the match giving victory to his side.
