It was looking to be going that way today. Mido put Middlesbrough in the lead with a 30 yard drive. The Egyptian forward had just come off the bench and the goal looked to be sending his side to victory.
Liverpool had other plans. Jamie Carragher hit the ball from the edge of the box and got a lucky deflection off Middlebrough’s Emmanuel Pogatetz which levelled the game up with less than 10 minutes to go. In the 90th minute Liverpool dealt the final blow to take the points with a goal from who else but skipper Steven Gerrard.
