Today Liverpool were forced to come from behind twice. Wigan took the lead on 29 minutes. A mistake from Daniel Agger allowed Amr Zaki to score form close range. This was a little too good to be true for Wigan however and on 37 minutes Dirk Kuyt found the equaliser. Wigan continued to press and straight after half time were back in-front. Amr Zaki scoring a superb scissor kick.
On 74 minutes things took a turn for the worse for Wigan when Antonio Valencia was sent off. Albert Riera levelled the score on 80 minutes and with just 5 minutes left Dirk Kuyt found Liverpool the winner.
