Lord Sebastian Coe wants Sir Alex Ferguson for 2012
Lord Sebastian Coe has said that he would like Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson to lead the Great Britain team at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Sebastian Coe believes that there is no better man for the job. Sir Alex is expected to leave his roll of Manchester United manager within the next 3 years which will be perfect timing for the Olympics. The forming of the Great Britain team has caused a lot a lot of unrest amongst the Scotland, Northern Ireland and Whales football associations who have said that the move could affect their status’ at FIFA.
Ultimately the manager position decision will but down to the British Olympic Association and the relative Football Associations but Lord Sebastian Coe believes that there would be no better man to lead the under 23 side.
