Robinho Dumps Chelsea for Manchester City

In a last minute swoop Manchester City beat Chelsea to Robinho.City fans it is true!!! Robinho is coming to Eastlands. On the final day of the transfer window Manchester City have signed Robinho from Real Madrid for the fee of £32.5 million making a new British record. Chelsea have been in pursuit of the Brazilian star for the past 4 weeks and their efforts have been rejected by Real Madrid. Chelsea’s offer was around the £24 million mark but Madrid insited that they would need a replacement for Robinho before they would agree a deal. Robinho has always said along the way that he would like to join Chelsea and his fellow Brazilion Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Manchester City have not even hinted their interest in the player and late on the final day of the transfer window swooped in with an offer Real Madrid could not resist. The night before Chelsea were confident that Robinho’s move to London was iminent and they have been stunned by the actions of Manchester City.

This mega deal is one of a number of huge signings in the plans of Manchester City’s new owner Al-Fahim.
