Too little too late from the Baggies as Everton’s Premiership campaign gets off the ground.No goals in the first 45 in a half that was dominated by the home side. West Brom kept Everton back in their own half creating numerous chances on goal. Unfortunately for them they could not deliver the blow that would defeat the visitors and the level of football West Brom were playing at could not be maintained for a full 90 minutes.
In the 2nd half it didn’t take Everton long to find their feet. On 65 minutes Leon Osman scored the first goal on the end of a ball from Mikel Arteta and Yakubu headed home the 2nd on 76.
West Brom did get a cancellation in the form of an 89th minute Roman Bednar spot kick.
