Westham 2 Derby 1
The Championship could not come sooner for already relegated Derby as they add yet another loss to their tally.
With Derby having nothing to play for and Westham in a similar position the game had very little significance. The game started as Derby games usually do with the opposition dominating.
Bobby Zamora headed home the first goal from a George McCartney free kick to score a long awaited goal for him.
Westham took the opposition for granted however and sat back a little. On 65 minutes Tyrone Mears hit a cracker and gave Derby a well deserved equaliser.
The goal gave the Hammers a wake-up call however and just 12 minutes later Carlton Cole tapped home a cross from Freddie Ljungberg to take all 3 points for the home site and to make an even bigger dent in Derby’s pride.
